the Gallery

Mostly done with acrylic media in its many variations, my paintings also often include glass beads, sand, paper collage, and string.
This is a somewhat 3-dimensional form using sheet acrylic and found objects. Often the acrylic is distressed. I'm partial to using auto parts, esp. mirrors.
These are pieces outside my usual fare. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't, and sometimes they're a mixed bag.
Sometimes in the heat of the moment I lose track of my original idea or take off on a tangent. Letting the idea evolve is great, but losing a painting you've worked on for several months is not. The mockups help me stay on track.

At one time I thought I might make a living at digital graphics. Some things just don't pan out. I think the artwork is good. I learned a lot about letting a piece evolve from these.
